Gig Harbor Debuts 2010 Wine & Food Festival

It's time to celebrate the ingredients of the Good Life in Gig Harbor! The 2010 Gig Harbor Wine & Food Festival, presented by the Gig Harbor Historic Waterfront Association and the Harbor History Museum, will take place on the grounds of the Harbor History Museum, Saturday, August 7, 2010 from 12:00 noon to 6:00 pm. This destination event will showcase the talents of the nation's finest wine producers, chefs and culinary personalities.

Get Creative at 6th Annual Chalk the Walk Event in Gig Harbor
Come join us for the 6th
Annual Chalk the Walk event on
Saturday, July 17th, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm in the historic waterfront district
of Gig Harbor. This unique community event is sponsored by the Gig Harbor Historic
Waterfront Association (GHHWA) and is open to children and adults of all ages. The
event features amateur and professional sidewalk art along with a chalk art
competition. Registration starts at 10:00 am and chalk is FREE, so come
early and allow plenty of time to create a masterpiece! Sidewalk art
will be judged at 3:00 pm. The event will also feature face painting,
and there will be shuttle transportation available between Pioneer and the
Finholm district so you can view the artwork throughout the waterfront.
Registration for this event is free and each chalk artist will be assigned
an area of sidewalk to draw their artwork. All chalk supplies for the
competition will be supplied by the GHHWA.
The 2010 Chalk the Walk event coincides with the 26th Annual Summer Art Festival
presented by the Peninsula Art League. Be sure to visit their venue on
Judson Street with 150 artists.
